Dog-Friendly

Dogs are very welcome at Dolgoy Cottages, we have a shared fenced paddock to run in – a great place for your dog to have fun before enjoying the comfort of the cosy fire in your luxury cottage. We also supply tags to keep your pet safe while they’re away from home.

Enjoy the shared exercise paddock

Our luxury pet-friendly cottages have a shared, fenced exercise paddock for our furry guests to run in. Watch your dogs enjoy the peaceful surroundings, while you sip your morning cup of tea.

The paddock is a great facility if you are joining us during the cooler months. Even on the wettest of days, you can take your dog to stretch his legs without straying too far from the warmth and comfort of the log burner in your cosy cottage. It’s also a great spot for stargazing, watching the sunrise, and simply enjoying the summer days.

The paddock is accessed via a wooden gate from the car park.

Places to explore at Dolgoy

There are lots of places and spaces for your dog to enjoy and explore during your stay. Whether that be relaxing within the spacious holiday cottages or out and about in our grounds and the surrounding areas.

Booking information at our luxury pet-friendly cottages

One or two well-behaved dogs are very welcome depending upon the cottage selected. We only accept dogs over 1 year old (house-trained and past the chewing stage) but we do make exceptions if already trained and kept somewhere safe overnight.

You can automatically book a dog into all of our properties and two into our larger properties with a small charge for the second dog.

Please contact us if you have any queries.

To help you and our furry guest have a happy and safe stay:

  • Please keep dogs on leads outside your property other than the designated areas due to free-ranging poultry and farm animals
  • Please don’t leave dogs unattended (including in your garden).
  • Please keep off furniture
  • Please pick up poop including in the grounds of Dolgoy (there are poop bins in the car park)
