Barley Saturday is a long-standing tradition in Cardigan, held each year on the last Saturday in April. Dating back to the 19th century the tradition began with farmers from the surrounding areas gathering in the town to hire workers and inspect stallions put out to stud. Today, it is a celebration focusing on horses, featuring parades and events throughout Cardigan. A day you won’t want to miss!
